Chapter 8 – The monsters’ emergence

“Nonsense!” A well-dressed middle-aged man stood in the principal’s office, looking down at the schoolyard from his window. Sighing, he shook his head and took out his phone.

A group of students playing around and screaming at the schoolyard as if they’re crazy, instead of going home after their night of self-study.

With his decades of experience in school management, this was the students committing an act of rebellion that could be solved as long as he sent some teachers.

Did they want to boycott the curriculum? Impossible.

Of course, teachers rushed to the schoolyard the moment he hung up his phone.

The teachers were shocked the moment they had seen this sight, students and teachers were only gathered once a week for the weekly flag-raising ceremony.

But compared to the orderly gathering that was quiet, the current sight was filled with madmen.

“Silence! Quiet! What are you all doing?! Hurry up and return to your homes!”

The group of teachers tried to contain the situation.

With the form teachers leading the front and the other teachers following, students were dragged out and divided into their classes. It seemed as though the disorderly chaos were about to settle down anytime.

The students felt instinctual fear as they looked at their familiar form teachers, they had no choice but to obediently comply once they saw the faces of their teachers shrivel up in austerity.

However, not everyone was this obedient.

“This is a lot more fun than computer games!” Qian Kun’s eyes shone as he stared at the beautiful figure in the skies, thinking: This person is floating in mid-air with nothing to support them, it must be related to the new player gift bag that appeared suddenly.

He was someone that loved watching movies and playing games, often lamenting about how boring the world and life were. But now, these science-defying things had suddenly emerged in front of him.

If he just left like this, would he still have a chance to see something like this in the future?

It was difficult!

Incredibly difficult!

“If I give up just like this, then I’ll never see this again!”

He suddenly charged forth, pushing aside the people before him as his small body weaved through the excited crowd.

“Goddess, I want to become your disciple! Please impart your peerless martial arts to me! I can give you all of my father’s wealth!”

Most of the students were chased off by the teachers, and as a result, Qian Kun’s actions were incredibly abrupt.

Hearing his voice, He Zi turned to look down at the human figure that was running her way, and similarly, everyone else was looking at him as well.

Meng Ke, who was watching this sight through He Zi’s eyes, fell into thought. His blue and white light phantasy eventually evolved into He Zi, creating a mysterious image.

As of right now, as long as he took great care to conceal his identity, no one would associate an ordinary human like himself as the cause of this incident.

Then, could he make this phantasy even more complete?

After filling his spiritual world and capping the number of spiritual threads, he could only focus on increasing its quality now.

By making people that were connected to him believe in the phantasies and increasing their interactions, he could create even more blobs of light through those recipients.

As such, he needed to make the Earth Plan that he had concocted even more real.

Meng Ke reminisced about the past when he was simply creating the Earth Plan out of spite, wanting to see what animals reflected a human’s inner feelings.

The He Zi that was created afterwards was nothing but a shield for himself, forcing everyone’s attention onto the phantasy.

As such, Meng Ke, the true culprit behind all of this, was safe.

On this foundation, the Earth Plan was undoubtedly a great start for Meng Ke, who wanted to gather energy through the interactions of people and his phantasies.

Under He Zi’s indifferent gaze, Qian Kun trembled in excitement as he swallowed his saliva and asked, “Are you a deity? Did you create the Earth Plan? Can you accept me as your disciple? If not, I’ll happily accept your divine grace! Please!”

Suddenly, He Zi stood up as a mighty aura enveloped the crowd, causing them to stand still as they stared at the skies dumbfoundedly.

What is she doing!? Countless people screamed in their hearts.

It felt like they were mortals that were facing a god.

It was as if she could annihilate every single human in the entire world with one wave of her hand.

No one knew what she was going to do. It was a horrifying fear that plagued their hearts as they watched her every action.

She had easily caused their hearts to go wild with just her suppressive aura alone, forcing them to watch her with a despairing yet hopeful gaze.

Humans longed for change, but they also feared the unknown.

Finally, under the gaze of thousands, He Zi slowly raised her left hand as if she was grabbing something invisible in the air.

And in the next moment, she sat down quietly.

[Giant Praying Mantis] (Beast)

LV: 3

Gigantic praying mantises walked out from the black mists.

They were similar to ordinary praying mantises, with a green-coloured appearance and four thin legs that supported their body, as well as two incredibly sharp sickles attached to their arms that hung from their sides. Their triangular heads were adorned with gigantic eyes that rolled around, and in the middle of their eyes were small spots that resembled pupils.

Qian Kun retreated a step in fear, his eyes glued to the giant praying mantises that appeared suddenly. He could see the dense rows of sharp barbs that decorated their sickle hands.

Of course, that wasn’t the only reason for his fear.

Most importantly, these mantises were at a shocking height of 1.2 meters!

A sharp, dangerous light shone in their eyes, capable of scaring anyone that saw these monsters for themselves.

“Ahhhh…!!!”

“Save me…!!”

Screams erupted throughout the entire schoolyard instantly as the countless students rushed out of the area with a speed far surpassing their run here, despite the strange and confused expressions of their teachers.

Qian Kun’s limbs had gone cold and his face turned pale, he didn’t hesitate to run away, squeezing himself into the rowdy crowd.

Did these monsters appear because of me? I am a sinner, I deserve to die! Please, I beg you, take back these monsters…!

He pleaded in his mind desperately, he was filled with complicated emotions of regret and despair that burrowed into his heart, causing him to feel a deep sense of self-reproach.

But he didn’t notice.

A giant praying mantis suddenly attacked the fleeing crowd, pouncing as its cold gaze fixated upon a student that was running at the back.

“Ah…!”

The student grabbed onto his arm in misery as pain washed over him.

“Ah!!! My hand!……is fine? Ah?!”

Just as he was about to despair, he suddenly noticed that his arm……was, fine?

His eyes widened in disbelief, he could still feel the throbbing pain that came from his injured arm.

But.

Why didn’t the sleeve covering his arm, the outermost layer, look completely pristine?
